Haworthia Truncatas are appreciated for many reasons. Most prominent feature to look for are the windows (transparent region at leaf apex). Big windows, more transparent windows and windows with other interesting patterns and characteristics. Many collectors prize the formation, generally preferring compact and large over loose and small. Variegation generally means that it will be rarer than its non-variegate counterpart.

The most recent trend is of exceptionally large truncatas, with extra large windows. Affectionately called ‘fat’ truncatas, they are prized for their rarity and beauty. These super clones are generally selected from a population of specimens and bred over and over to ingrain the characteristics.
